Hi there! I’m Gracie, aka, the girl the behind the camera. With a story telling, documentary style of photography, my passion is capturing the world the way I see it through a lens. Based in Madison, Wisconsin I have worked with couples from all over the area, showcasing their love and documenting their special day for them to cherish years to come.
I have an absolute love for love! My focus will forever be to capture true emotion and that “in the moment feeling,” that goes by all too quickly. Telling your story through a series of photos in a way that is individually you is what I do best. I count myself lucky for being able to witness so many candid moments and creating a lasting memory to those who will cherish them forever.
YOUR ALL-IN PHOTOGRAPHER
The way I work is simple. I’m there for you when you need direction. Not sure how to pose? No worries, I’ll guide you on exactly what to do. Your dress needs fluffing, or your hair needs adjustment? I’ll be there to fix that too. But I’m also there to take a step back, let you have your moment, and capture it from the background. The feeling of a special moment is more important than the image looking perfectly composed.
When working with me you will receive a gallery filled with documentary and editorial style imagery, creating a mix of emotional moments and magazine worthy images for you to love forever. Your photos will be exceptionally edited, colors true to life, and will never go out of style.
More About Me
BACKGROUND
I was raised on a little farm and grew up showing cattle at my local county fair. I got into photography by taking photos of my family’s farm and cattle and entering my images into a youth competition. Going to cattle shows and showcasing agricultural are still some of my favorite things to take photos of.
Senior year of high school I had made the decision to go into interior design for college. Last minute I changed my mind and decided to trust my gut and switched my focus to photography. That decision turned out to be one my best. I now have a degree in photography and learned more than I could have ever imagined.
Along with school, I was able to shadow a photographer friend of mine. She got me into weddings and gave me the opportunity to learn first hand what it was like to work a wedding. On top of that, this also allowed me to create a beautiful gallery before I even graduated college.
